Police Chief resigns after a black women is hired for Town Manger

A police chief, four FULL time officers, and two town clerks all white turned in their resignation letters July 20,2022. All the resignations were put in after Justine Jones was hired as town manger in Kenly, North Carolina. Ms. Jones has 16 years of experience in Minnesota, Virginia, South and North Carolina.

The town now has three part time officers. Theres no substantial reasons why they quit but now she should be able to hire good officers. Officers who will serve and protect citizens no matter their race.
